AIR AND SUN IN THE ORCHARD
In the orchard meadow, sun loungers and deck chairs are set up so our guests can enjoy a few hours of sunshine, gently caressed by the valley’s characteristic breeze. When the wind eases, you can cool off with the solar shower just a few steps away.
RELAX UNDER THE FIG TREE
During the hottest hours of the day, when the sun is high and you need a place to recharge, the best spot is under the fig tree. This is the coolest and breeziest area, equipped with a table, chairs, and loungers – perfect for a nap, some reading, or enjoying a glass of good wine.
MOMENTS TOGETHER IN THE BARN
Many of our guests consider this the most harmonious and welcoming spot on the property—a place that feels like home and evokes happy memories. You’ll find two large wooden tables, a stone fire pit, and a balcony overlooking the valley. The two large windows on either side frame the views like paintings, showcasing the valley and Monte Penice.
OUR MONTAIN MICRO-VINEGAR CELLAR
One of our long-standing passions is producing homemade vinegar. Our ‘MOSTO SELVATICO’ uniquely benefits from the local climate and the surrounding environment. It matures at 350 meters above sea level in a valley nestled between the mountains and not far from the sea. This special setting shapes the aroma and flavor of the final product, which, aged for over twenty years, is perfect for accompanying vegetables, meats, and especially cheeses.

Calling Balzago Poggio just a ‘B&B’ feels like an understatement. Sure, there’s a bed—and what a bed! High, incredibly comfortable, spacious, with beautiful linens. And of course, there’s breakfast, partly already available in the lovely room and partly delivered fresh each morning. You can enjoy it in your room, at the small table just outside, or even further out under a stunning porch. It’s tiny, and because of that, it feels like HOME. I hope there’s still room for future visits, because I just got back and I already miss everything.

A stunning location with panoramic views over Bobbio and the Trebbia Valley. The welcome and kindness of the hosts are excellent—Viviana is very attentive, and her husband’s stories are fascinating and full of cultural insight. The room is very comfortable and cozy. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. Highly recommended for anyone looking for the quiet of nature and a bit of peace.

Very nice, sunny and quiet place overlooking Bobbio and Trebbia Valley. 10 min walk from Bobbio center. Amiable hosts, very helpful and hospitably. Modern room with perfect infrastructure (bathroom, bed, parking lot).
