For us, the environment is a heritage to be respected, because we believe that a true quality of life cannot exist without the protection of the land.

From an energy perspective, Balzago Poggio is completely self-sufficient. A photovoltaic system, combined with a solar thermal system, provides all the energy needed for underfloor heating throughout the living areas and for domestic hot water.

In addition, a wood-burning stove equipped with a flue gas catalyst has been installed. It is fuelled exclusively with wood recovered from tree pruning, land maintenance, and forest clearing activities.

Thanks to this integrated system, we are able to switch off all mechanical systems for up to eight months of the year. During the remaining winter months, the system still covers a significant portion of the energy required for daily operations.

After all, even in winter, he sun always shines on Balzago Poggio!
